These fakes are easy to find because the colors are not intense and the feeling is not soft; and unfortunately these copies come apart somewhat easily with the rubber bottom separating from the top. If you have accidentally purchased one of these thinking they are genuine MouseRugs we are very sorry about that and you have been ripped off. Whoever is making this product is so embarrassed that they do not put their company name or address on the product, so we are not sure where you can go to request a refund of your money. These people even copied our packaging to maximize the confusion (and probably because they do not have enough imagination or design capability to make their own). Inspired by a centuries-old Persian (Iranian) confederacy pictorial rug design from the Fars province in the south of Iran, these rugs were originally made for the court and great nobles and were presented only on special occasions. Original rugs were made of high quality wool pile, and a multiple border in a pattern is a sign of later weavings.
