The Nain carpet is made in the city of Nain in the Province of Isfahan. Nain has a very old tradition of making top quality carpets known for many decades. The classical design Nain was originally inspired by rugs made for the Shah’s palaces in Persia. The original colors are a beige background with a combination blue, red and green, with white silk thread highlighting found on the edges of the design, and in more recent years they began making red and green backgrounds as well.
